Ok.. update..
my blog is almost dead..

I'm soo soo soo busy..
1 more week and i'm off to holiday..
Wth.. poly life is super not slack..
just completed 2 tedious modules..
fashion merchandising and visual merchandising..
tot this current modules 2D fundamental art and design history and cultural would be very slack..
in the end assignments piled high up, i cant even see the sky..

so back to FM and VM..
the toughest and stressful module which caused me to have sleepless night yet interesting and great fulfillment..

Fashion merchandising..
quite a lot of assignments to do..
and all PRESENTATIONS..
suddenly for all the presentations, i hardly stone and stutter..
but i kept talking..

first presentation was kind of nervous..
super nervous..
cos start of O level, there wasnt any presentation..
so no practice of 'talking to the class'..
first presentation for FM i finally know the feeling of butterflies in stomach..
but it wasnt tat bad..
and i did quite well for first presentation tats why i got an A..

but second presentation on fashion in different era wasnt tat good..
i got C..
and many of my classmates got tis grade too..
my group did on the 80s fashion..
it was not as easy as i thought it would be..
cos in the 80s, fashion was still adopting on the 60s and 70s..
no specific style for tat only the power dressing..
and this presentation requires us to dress accordingly to the era..
so my group decided to dress formally following the power dressing style..

now Visual merchandising..
so big project for VM was to create a showcase and creating 'The Look'..
so below, my showcase and torso.

firstly, part 1 the showcase..
my group was so unlucky..
becos we were left with few dirty showcases to chose from..
so we have a super hard time cleaning..

my group was doing on bikini, Sheer Romance..
the real torso was too big to fit into the showcase..
so we have to make one..
we when to look around for scrap material and found metal wires..
and we have a hard time bending..
i bent till my hand sore..
but in the end, yiling's boyfriend helped us with the torso..


so here..
our wonderful torso..

tada~ days of hard work..
our showcase is nicely done and ready for judgement day..
and our average grade 6.5 out of 10..
a little disappointed..
but im super proud of myself..

now part 2, Creating the Look..
we went china town to search for the fabrics..
cos sch don provide..
and i'm not very happy about it..
we spent around 60 plus for all the materials..
but don you think sch shld at least subsidies abit..
or give each group like 30 bucks to spend on the materials..
even my parents find it ridiculous..

so back to my major project..
cos we were given few days to complete the showcase and the torso, it was hard for us..
i spent many hrs in sch..
from 9 am all the way to 9 plus 10 pm..

the making of the garment..
we totally have no time so while doing it..
our mood were tremendously bad..
and first cut on the fabric..
we made a big mistake by cutting the neck line to big..
but luckily, we manage to amend it..

i did the top..
yiling did the jacket..
bev did the corset and trouser..

the top that i was doing..
i sew it by hand..
no sewing machine.. nth..
jus hand, thread and needle..
and i pricked my fingers hundreds of times..
all of us haven learnt sewing yet and we are suppose to start making garment..
this was really a big challenge..

so everything done..
and get prepared for the judgement day..
7 out of 10..
not too bad..
a comment from harvey our lecturer..
he said he dint expect our work to turn out so nice..
