second weeks of holiday ending soon..
so update on my last module..
my final painting..

my last assignment wasnt as tedious as previous module..
it is...
- a 1 by 1m painting
- fusing of any artist style and SYOG
- artist style has to be either surrealism, cubism, fauvism, impressionism or post-impressionism..

ok..
question mark question mark..
i dont understand wad is cubism, fauvism blah blah..
and who cares wad artist painted wad style..
i have no art background and definitely not an art student..
the only thing i know was surrealism by Salvador Dali..
so i only did research on that and did a few sketches for consultation..

in the end..
none of my sketches were approved..
so comments given were:
"not surreal leh"
"not interesting leh"
"not same as Dali leh"

me dear did come out with a very good idea on fusing sports and the letter "SYOG" together..
but still..
not approved..
and comments given were:
"got artist draw this before meh"
"not surreal leh"
"no real thing leh"
"not surreal, not cubism, not fauvism, nth leh"

so re-development of my final sketching..
this time round i using FAUVISM by HERNI MATISSE..

Fauvism
Henri Matisse 1869-1954

He was a French artist, known for his use of color and his fluid, brilliant and original draughtsman ship. As a draughtsman, printmaker, and sculptor, but principally as a painter, Matisse is one of the best-known artists of the 20th century. Although he was initially labeled as a Fauve (wild beast), by the 1920s, he was increasingly hailed as an upholder of the classical tradition in French painting. His mastery of the expressive language of color and drawing, displayed in a body of work spanning over a half-century, won him recognition as a leading figure in modern art.

Fauvism 1905-1908

Fauvism is an entirely arbitrary construct. The noun ‘fauvism’ did not exist prior to 1905. In French, the word ‘fauve’ literally means ‘wild beast’. As an adjective, ‘fauve’ is a descriptive word used to characterize the color of a deer. ‘Les grands faves’ connotes ‘big game’. Fauvism is like so many ’isms’: a word invented by critics to bracket a movement they perceived and in effect promulgated.

progression of my work..
i have a super hard time painting..

this theme is making the whole class bored..
real bored..
and the hardest part..
fuse it with an artist style..

I AM NOT ART STUDENT..
